Pokefolio Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to the Pokefolio mobile application (the "Application") developed and published by Marius Eckerle (the "Service Provider"). Pokefolio is offered as a Freemium service and is provided "AS IS."

1 Information We Collect and How We Use It

1.1 User‑Provided Information

When you install and register the Application, you may voluntarily provide:

• Account details (e‑mail address, display name, authentication credentials)
• Profile preferences and in‑app settings
• Support & feedback messages

We use this information to operate Pokefolio, personalise your experience, deliver customer support, send mandatory notices, and—if you opt‑in—send marketing communications.

1.2 Automatically Collected Information

Pokefolio automatically collects limited technical data, including:

• Device model, operating system, and language
• Anonymised device identifier and IP address
• App version and usage statistics (e.g., screens viewed, session length)

This data helps us diagnose problems, analyse trends, and improve stability and performance.

1.3 Scan Images

If you use Pokefolio's card‑scanning feature, images of the card are transmitted to our servers and processed with OpenAI Vision models. Scan images are stored without any personally identifying metadata and are used solely to improve our recognition algorithms. Images are retained for no longer than 12 months before being permanently deleted or fully anonymised.

1.4 Payment & Subscription Data

Pokefolio offers optional premium features via in‑app purchases managed by RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives pseudonymous purchase receipts (not your raw payment information) so we can verify entitlements.

2 Do We Collect Precise Location Data?

No. Pokefolio does not collect precise real‑time GPS location information from your device.

3 Third‑Party Service Providers

To deliver and maintain the Application we rely on the following subprocessors, each of which has its own privacy policy:

We share only the minimum data required for these services to perform the contracted function. They act on our behalf and may not use your data for their own purposes.

We may also disclose information:

• When required by law (e.g., in response to a subpoena or court order);
• To protect rights and safety, investigate fraud, or respond to government requests;
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to standard confidentiality obligations.

4 Your Choices and Opt‑Out Rights

You can stop all data collection by uninstalling the Application. You may also:

• Disable analytics in the app settings (where available);
• Opt‑out of marketing e‑mails by using the unsubscribe link in any promotional message;
• Request deletion of your account data by e‑mailing mariuseckerle@gmail.com.

5 Data Retention

User‑Provided Data is kept while your account is active and for up to 24 months after deletion, unless we are legally required to retain it longer.

Automatically Collected Data is stored for up to 24 months and then aggregated or deleted.

Scan Images are retained for a maximum of 12 months (see § 1.3).

6 Children's Privacy

Pokefolio is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If we learn that such data has been provided, we will delete it promptly. Parents who believe their child has provided personal information may contact us at mariuseckerle@gmail.com.

7 Security

We employ physical, technical, and organisational safeguards—including encrypted transit/storage, least‑privilege access controls, and regular security reviews—to protect your information. No system is 100 % secure, but we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect it.

8 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be announced in‑app or via e‑mail. Continued use of the Application after a revision constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

9 Your Consent

By installing or using Pokefolio you consent to the processing of your information as described in this Policy, including the use of cookies and similar technologies.
